For Reviewers

Our Review Philosophy

At Library of Science, we recognize that behind every manuscript lies immense dedication — the time, effort, and passion of researchers. We believe rejection should not be based solely on the lack of novelty. Reviewers are encouraged to nurture the scientific spirit by offering constructive, respectful, and encouraging feedback. Reviewers are the guiding voice and light of our journal. Your thoughtful guidance empowers authors to improve and grow.

Become a Reviewer

Peer reviewers form the backbone of Library of Science’s commitment to academic excellence and research integrity. We invite researchers, academicians, and professionals across all scientific fields to join our Reviewer Community. By becoming a reviewer, you will:

  • Shape the quality of scientific discourse
  • Support emerging researchers
  • Advance global knowledge

How to Join Our Reviewer Team

If you are interested in becoming a reviewer, kindly send your:

  • Updated CV
  • Areas of expertise
  • Brief statement of interest

to reviewers@libraryofscience.com.

We warmly welcome early-career researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and experienced academics alike.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Uphold confidentiality throughout the review process.
  • Provide fair, objective, and unbiased evaluations.
  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe (typically 10–14 days).
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest promptly.

Guidelines for Constructive Reviews

  • Start Positively: Begin with a brief summary highlighting the manuscript’s contribution.
  • Highlight Strengths Respectfully: Appreciate what has been done well.
  • Suggest Improvements Constructively: Offer specific, actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain a Supportive Tone: Critique the work, not the author. Avoid harsh or destructive comments.
  • Distinguish Major from Minor Issues: Clearly separate critical scientific flaws from minor editorial corrections.

Note: Your feedback should offer authors an opportunity to refine their work, not discourage their pursuit of knowledge.

Peer Review Process

We follow a double-blind peer review system, ensuring the anonymity of both reviewers and authors.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Evaluate the originality, scientific rigor, and relevance of submissions.
  • Recommend one of the following outcomes:
    • Accept
    • Minor Revision
    • Major Revision
    • Reject with Reasoned Guidance
